This may involve an addition, or perhaps a reconfiguration of your existing home. Let us help you think of all of the possibilities, and guide you toward the right solution for your family.
DESIGNING ADDITIONS & RENOVATIONS
What is Included?
Our Additions & Renovation services includes determining your needs, learning about how you use your spaces, and designing options for your renovation or addition. We will prepare all necessary drawings and coordinate your permits, and walk you through the process so that you are well prepared for construction to start.
How Does It Work?
Your project will start with an initial sales meeting, this is where we will get to know each other.
Our work then starts with a zoning verification; we call the township to confirm any bylaws and regulations related to your property. Then, we site measure of your existing home, after which we create a 3D model in our software. We sit with you to discuss all of your wants and needs, and how you use your spaces. We also will ask you to spend a little time on ‘homework’, to share with us images and ideas using online platforms like Houzz and Pinterest.
Next, we begin designing and meet with you to review our ideas. We may prepare multiple options, and we may meet a few times to review design details. Once we have an approved design, we will add notations and information for contractors to price the work. This includes drawings giving instructions about scope of work and how to build, so that the quotes you receive are the most accurate possible. Some clients ask us to coordinate pricing from contractors.
After the project budget is determined and you have decided to move ahead with construction, we begin permit drawings. These drawings include further details and more structural information. We coordinate engineers and heatloss calculations as required. We submit the permit on your behalf and communicate with the building department. Once the permit is issued, we bring it to you along with additional copies of drawings for the contractors.
Some of our contracts might end at this stage, however, we would love to continue working with you and the construction team in the role of Project Coordination, Interior Design Services, Interior Decorating Services, and Purchasing & Logistics.

There is no fee for this meeting; we believe it’s important to introduce ourselves to you. Following this meeting, we will prepare a proposal outlining our scope of services and estimated costs.
